It's Potato Salad day! ...or something like that.

So yesterday, we let the horses out into our whole yard for a run. They had fun, until they came across a patch of clover, then they settled for having a snack.



The bay is Gamble, the red is Besame, and the black is my little baby Elly May.

And on Elly May, since I'd promised an update on the first journal when I got her.

She's doing great, and she'll follow me around. I'm pretty sure the worms were giving her a stomach ache, because her back used to be a bit hunched, and she's more relaxed in the back. She's also a little shit, like a baby should be.

And, she's only kicked at me twice so far. Yesterday, she swung her ass around towards me, and tried a cowkick. She got a slap on the shoulder, and I got a hurt hand. She stopped that nonsense right away, though which is good. I'd like to address that stuff now when she's 600 pounds, not when she's a thousand. It was kind of half assed, compared to the first one she tried not long after I got her. that one was violent, I'd never seen a kick like that IRL before.

So, I'm going to start leading her around now. I caught her the other day, and she did pretty well, but she has a really short attention span, and wanted to get back to her new herd after a few minutes, so I didn't push her.
